Building a Legacy to Preserve Our Catholic Faith and Heritage

Anita Lambert: “I am so happy knowing that this scholarship will help someone receive the education that Dick believed to be so important.”

Anita LambertGift Plan: Retirement-Account Beneficiary

Anita Lambert’s husband, Commander Francis Richard "Dick" Lambert, loved the United States and sought to help future leaders of his country receive an education rooted in Christian morality, which he believed to be essential to life as a good citizen and person. Upon Dick’s passing, Anita wanted to honor her husband’s legacy by enabling young Catholics to receive an education that prepares them to become the hopeful future of our country.

Anita, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother explains, "Dick was frustrated with the current college education system. He said education turned into indoctrination."

He found the moral education he sought at Christendom College. With Christendom’s academics being grounding in faith and morals, "he believed that Christendom will produce the next great leaders of our country," says Anita.

For this reason, Anita made Christendom College the beneficiary of a retirement account, thus establishing The F. Richard Lambert Memorial Scholarship fund at Christendom College.

"I am so happy knowing that this scholarship will help someone receive the education that Dick believed to be so important," Anita says. She believes this Christendom College endowed scholarship is just how Dick would want to be remembered because it makes possible the good, moral education of the future Catholic leaders of our community and country.
